Concerning One Piece Manga
Eiichiro Oda’s renowned manga series “One Piece” was written and drawn by him. Since July 22, 1997, it has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shnen Jump magazine and has been compiled into 96 tankbon volumes as of September 2021. The plot revolves on the exploits of Monkey D. Luffy, a young boy whose body acquires the qualities of rubber after inadvertently eating a Devil Fruit, and his motley gang of pirates known as the Straw Hat Pirates. Together, they traverse the Grand Line in quest of “One Piece,” the world’s greatest treasure, in order to become the Pirate King. The manga has been converted into an anime series, multiple feature films, and several video games, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
The manga series One Piece was created by Eiichiro Oda. He also creates the series’ artwork. The manga has been published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since the 22nd of July, 1997. It has been collected into 104 tankbon volumes as of November 2022. The protagonist of this story is Monkey D. Luffy, a young boy whose body develops the properties of rubber after mistakenly swallowing a Devil Fruit. The plot revolves on Monkey D. Luffy’s adventures. Luffy sails the Grand Line with his motley crew of buccaneers known as the Straw Hat Pirates in search of the world’s greatest treasure, known as “One Piece,” in order to become the next Pirate King and take his due position at the helm of the pirate world.
In 1998, Production I.G made an original video animation (OVA) based on the manga, and an anime series produced by Toei Animation began airing in Japan in 1999. Both versions were inspired by the original material. In addition, Toei has produced thirteen feature films, one original video animation, and eleven television specials. Several companies have created a broad range of items, including trading card games and video games. The rights to publish the manga in English in North America and the United Kingdom have been licensed to Viz Media, while Madman Entertainment has the rights to publish it in Australia. The anime had been acquired by 4Kids Entertainment for an English-language release in North America in 2004 until the license was terminated and subsequently purchased by Funimation in 2007. This, however, never happened.
One Piece’s storyline, artwork, characters, and even humor have all received praise. Some manga volumes have achieved new publishing marks, becoming the books with the largest initial print runs of any book ever released in Japan. According to the official website of the One Piece manga, the manga has broken a Guinness World Record for “the most copies published for the same comic book series by a single creator.” The One Piece comic book series is the sole work of Eiichiro Oda. As of May 2018, it was reported that more than 440 million copies of the manga had been sold worldwide, making it the all-time best-selling manga series. In addition, One Piece remained the best-selling manga series for the seventh year in a row in 2017.
